Work has been going slowly because of my normal job and another DAF needing to get finished first....
But at least the other DAF was a 1978 Volvo 66.


New tires have been installed as well as the wheels newly painted


A new crosspot exhaust was purchased from Danny in Holland and installed.


The new exhaust pipe & rear muffler was fabricated by me.


...and installed. I will still need to install heat shields and heat matting before it is all finished. There is so very little room for the exhaust so I will not take a chance to burn anything on the chassis.

Not much has been done to my Kalmar due to the severe Winter this year. I did receive some historic information from the Canadian Postal System concerning Kalmar # 138...
It was ordered Kalmar in 1969 and delivered to the central Post Office in Ottawa, Canada for testing. The Kalmar was used to deliver vital Government mail and packages to the Parliament House between 1970-1982/1983

Unfortunately, a Postal worker forgot to check the oil and the motor was destroyed around 1982/1983. The truck was retired and later sold to a Postal employee who tried, unsuccessfully, to convert it to Electric.
It was given to me in August, 2011 for restoration.

I am sorry Fredrik and feel ashamed for the lack of work as well as updates.

At the moment I am awaiting a shipment from Ronny Muis (Pat1) of a new driver's side window assembly...


as well as the new Emblem set from Sander...


With weather finally warming and snow melting there will be more updates.
