12 inches, 1 foot

I am still battling with the metric system.

I'll cut a piece of gum strip (1foot/30cm) next time I visit my kalmar.
I saw the pictures on dafclubamerica and wonder:
Where did you find new? rearligths?
I also noted:
I noticed that you have "wrong" side flasher ligths and a little modern reflector in the back. I think that both similar to original ones still is available in Sweden.

Thank You Fredrik...
The new rear lights were found on e-Bay in Australia. They are very very close to the originals. I did not know about the side indicator lights....I made my own for about $ 5.00 each to be similar to the originals. One good thing no one here will know the difference, only a trained eye with knowledge of a Kalmar will know.
In keeping with the Canadian Postal theme (they added some very different Non-Kalmar features) I have decided that "Postal Pete" will keep it's unique Canadian appearance.

They had added large mirrors (called "West Coast Mirrors") to the door pillars and changed the windshield wiper assembly to a single type over the front window. These features makes my Kalmar a little different from the rest.
I finished more work on the Kalmar today. Here are some before and after photos:

I have also managed to remove and replace the front Body rubbers without taking the body off.
All the rest were really good, except the two in the front.
I am replacing them with new items.

Old on the Left & new on the Right.

These are a perfect replacement and they fit well. What are they you ask ? Hockey Pucks (practice ones since they are softer than regulation play ones

)
I drilled the centers out and installed new bolts and locking nuts.

Thank You Fredrik
Now it makes sense why they are upside down.
I could picture them reversed to hang a mail pouch...I thought it might have been another "Canadian Modification"
Do you have a photo of a finished Headliner in your Kalmar ?? mine was taken over by a rather large family of Mice.

This is the view from inside with side trim pieces.
When my Kalmar arrived from Canada this was the interior:

The jump seat (folding seat) had been bolted to a fiberglass box and the driver's seat was in terrible condition.
I received the seats back from my friend who does upholstery work so the interior now looks new again.
